The bottom part has a light blocking and privacy feature, while the top is light filtering. Insulation is from the both parts. I couldn't expect more from these 2 in 1 blinds. Recommended these.

Matchless day/night blinds for RV's winter journeys
Hi we are heading north from South Dakota's eastern border. Now the day or the light filtering fabric is on. The camper living space is so comfortable and bright. At night, we lower the night or blackout part for insulation that's outstanding! Worth it! We used the same blinds throughout summer months. Love 'em!

The best of both worlds in one simple, affordable campervan blind

Delighted with their appearance
These are functional, easy to install day/night blinds for the RV travel trailers. My wife and I were pleased to have a look at them on the website at the time of ordering. But once we received the packaged and installed the blinds on the RV windows (total 6), they look even better.

Nicer quality and edge to edge fit
The fit is wonderful, to the fraction of a centimeter. Let me give me an example of how perfectly they fit into the RV window's depth: when blackout part is on and lights are switched off inside the RV's living room (this is where we installed these blinds), it's hard for us to tell between window and the wall. Installation was very easy, though it was done by a professional installer.
